BEACH DAYZE

This lovely stained glass panel depicts the Red Wall Cavern, a favorite hangout spot for Grand Canyon river rats. As you make your way down the Colorado River look towards the left hand side, the cliff opens up to form a massive cave at the waterline. This natural amphitheater is carved out of the Redwall Sandstone by the scouring action of the river over the course of millions of years. The stained glass panel itself was created using glass of various texture and colors including red, orange, ambers, bronze, tan, and blue. The texture of the glass was chosen to mimic the rough and natural landscape.
