No experience needed - all supplies included
Get in the holiday spirit with this cozy, creative class where you’ll make your very own stained glass ornament to take home. You’ll choose from a selection of pre-cut, colorful glass pieces and learn how to foil and solder them together into a 5” keepsake you can hang, gift, or display all winter long.
This class is laid-back and beginner-friendly — no previous experience needed. Whether you’re feeling festive, want to try something new, or just looking for a fun way to spend a couple hours with good people and great vibes, this class is for you. Bring a friend, your partner, your kiddo (ages 14+), or come solo and make something magical.
Class Overview & Outcome:
Class will start with reviewing proper safety practices and how the studio is set up before moving on to learning limited foundational skills of stained glass. After selecting a template and pre-cut stained glass pieces for their nightlights, students will learn how to foil, solder, and patina and use these skills to create their very own nightlight.
Supplies:
Students will be provided the tools needed to assemble their stained glass nightlight. These tools stay with the studio and are not to be taken home. Materials such as stained glass, foil, solder, etc. are included in the price of the workshop.
Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Bring a water bottle (with a lid) and a snack if desired.
Any participants age 14 or younger will need a parent/guardian also participating the workshop.
Safety Notice:
We use lead materials when assembling stained glass. Safety is our priority, and we follow strict protocols, including the use of protective equipment. We will provide you with safety glasses, latex gloves, and lead removing wipes and/or soap to use at the end of class or whenever stepping away from the workspace. If you are pregnant, nursing, or have health concerns, please consult your health care provider before participating in this activity.
